Jennifer Lopez, Gwyneth Paltrow and Hugh Grant were just some of the stars that were honored at the VH1/Vogue Fashion Awards Tuesday night in New York.

Lopez, who traded in her uniform décolleté dress for a prim schoolgirl outfit, was named the Most Influential Star of the Year. Donatella Versace presented her with the ever-so-tasteful award--a statuette of a naked woman standing on her head, legs spread.

Paltrow, who did not attend the ceremony, got the Red Carpet award while Grant took home the prize for leading man.

Other highlights included rapper Eve, who was given the Breakthrough Style award (the Barbershop star dutifully thanked her nail stylist) and Kieran Culkin, who was named Newcomer of the Year. Blonde bombshell Karolina Kurkova, meanwhile, was named Model of the Year.

Tom Ford was named Designer of the Year and Alexander McQueen Revolutionary Designer. Sean "P. Diddy" Combs presented Ralph Lauren with a lifetime achievement award.

On the musical front, Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler won the Rock Style award while The White Stripes' "Fell in Love with a Girl" was named Most Visionary Video.

The event was hosted by Will & Grace star Debra Messing and included performances by David Bowie and a duet with Pink and Steven Tyler.

The two-hour show filled with mini fashion shows aired live on VH1.
