The actress, who plays Clove in the much-anticipated blockbuster adaptation of Suzanne Collins' beloved young adult novel, quickly realised what she had signed on for when friends and family started requesting information.
And one pal went over the top to get the gossip.
Fuhrmann tells WENN, "My friends are Hunger Games fanatics. They have all the posters, all the magazines; absolutely everything.
"One of them actually locked me in a bathroom and said, 'I'm not gonna let you out until you tell me something!' I said, 'I can't tell you anything!'
"So I'm locked in this bathroom for literally an hour and a half begging my friend, Lizzie, to let me out. She wouldn't let me out so I had to crawl out through the bathroom window."
