Stewart's new project will be a 24-hour domestic extravaganza and she will appear on the channel herself.
The move is another sign she is successfully rebuilding her business after her release from jail last month--last week Stewart collected magazine industry awards for two Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia Inc. publications for design and general excellence.
Stewart is under house arrest at her Katonah, New York home until early August, following her 2004 conviction for lying about a suspicious stock sale.
Sirius, who have been financially struggling, are keen to have the highly bankable Stewart on board.
Head of entertainment programming Scott Greenstein says the new addition to the airwaves would "provide women with the definitive complement to their lives and lifestyle."
