Oprah Winfrey is planning to spend the weekend celebrating legendary African-American women who made their names in the arts, entertainment and civil rights.

The billionaire talk show host will host a women-only luncheon, a white-tie ball and a gospel brunch in Los Angeles.

A galaxy of stars including Halle Berry, Jamie Foxx, John Travolta and Alicia Keys will toast the females being honored, including Maya Angelou, Coretta Scott King, Gladys Knight, Patti LaBelle, Tina Turner and Diana Ross.

Winfrey says, "This weekend the intention is to say thank you to these extraordinary women, and let them feel all the love and gratitude they deserve."
