Actor Tim Daly will not be returning to hit medical drama Private Practice after five years on the TV series. The star's character, Dr. Pete Wilder, was seen in the season five finale being freed on bail after he was convicted of killing one of his patients and now creator Shonda Rhimes has decided to write him out of the show.
