Will the real Slim Shady please stand up and face the judge?
Grammy-winning rapper Eminem is heading back to court Tuesday, this time to face assault charges stemming from an incident in June when he allegedly duked it out with a guy he caught smooching it up with his now-estranged wife in the parking lot of a bar.
The rapper, whose real name is Marshal Bruce Mathers III, can get up to five years if he's convicted in Macomb County Circuit Court in Michigan for the felony charge of assault with a deadly weapon and carrying a concealed weapon, USA Today reports.
But even if Eminem, 27, isn't convicted, he still faces more charges in neighboring Oakland County for carrying a concealed weapon and brandishing a firearm in public. Guess it's safe to say that this rapper has a personal affection for guns.
Eminem is no stranger to the court system. He's currently in legal entanglements with both is mom and his estranged wife. Both women have each filed $10,000 defamation lawsuits against the rapper over the last year. Both cases have yet to be settled.
