NEWSMAKERS: Sean Connery, Septuagenarian

commonly known as the original James Bond, the world’s sexiest man and Scotland’s most memorable export -- turns a whopping 70 today. The septuagenarian has been in seven 007 films, including the first, "Dr. No" in 1962. His most recent films include "Entrapment" (1999), "The Avengers" (1998), "Playing by Heart" (1998) and "Dragonheart" (1996), where he does the voice of the dragon.

Among his many accolades, Connery received an Academy Award for best supporting actor in 1987 for "The Untouchables," and he was knighted by Queen Elizabeth in July.

The actor is currently shooting his next flick, Gus Van Sant’s "Finding Forrester."

SPLITSVILLE! Lisa Wayans, wife of comedian Damon Wayans, has filed for divorce in Los Angeles Superior Court, ending a marriage of 16 years. The couple has one son and two daughters.

Woody Harrelson UP IN SMOKE: Woody Harrelson was found not guilty for the possession of marijuana in Kentucky, Reuters says today. The actor was busted for planting four hemp seeds in support of pot legalization in the state back in 1996.

MATERIAL CYBER-WORLD: Madonna is suing for the domain name madonna.com. The Web site URL is currently owned by a Web pornographer named Dan Parisi.

SPEAKING OF B-DAYS: Supermodel Claudia Schiffer turns 30 today. The German-born catwalker said in an interview published in Stern magazine that "turning 30 doesn’t bother me at all."
