Cold feet seems to be Hollywood's fall season ailment.
Daily Variety reports that the release date of "Moulin Rouge," a musical from director Baz Luhrmann ("William Shakespeare's Romeo + Juliet") and costarring Ewan McGregor, has been moved from late 2000 to summer 2001. The film, set in 19th century Paris, reportedly features scorching song-and-dance routines from flame-haired star Kidman, who plays a courtesan.
We'll have to wait a little longer to see if Kidman and company can resurrect the long-afflicted musical genre.
On the TV front, the much-anticipated "Michael Richards Show" has been doing its own two-step. What the producers shot as the second episode will launch the show on Oct. 24. The shuffled pilot will appear the next week, on Oct. 31.
"We wanted to put our best foot forward," NBC tells Variety.
It's always that first step that's the hardest.
