The actor was leaving a courthouse with his fiancee Hilaria Thomas after obtaining a marriage licence when he allegedly clashed with New York Daily News staff snapper Marcus Santos, who was waiting outside.

Santos told TMZ.com he was struck on the chin in the scuffle, and he's now turned to the New York Police Department to submit a criminal assault complaint against Baldwin.

The paparazzo filed his complaint at the Fifth Precinct police station on Tuesday afternoon (19Jun12), claiming he was left with a headache and dizziness after the incident.

Baldwin took to his Twitter.com account to share his side of the story, insisting he was defending himself. He tweeted, "A photographer almost hit me in the face with his camera this morning."
