Bosses at U.S. cable network HBO have picked up The Social Network screenwriter Aaron Sorkin's new TV drama The Newsroom for a second season, just a week after its premiere. The show, which stars Jeff Daniels as a quick-tempered newscaster, alongside actresses Emily Mortimer and Olivia Munn, debuted last week (24Jun12).
