Romney will go head-to-head with incumbent leader Barack Obama during the upcoming November (12) elections and while celebrities like George Clooney, Morgan Freeman, Beyonce and Gwen Stefani have rallied behind the Democrat, Duvall has chosen to back Republican Romney's campaign.
The Godfather star will host a party for Romney donors at his Middleburg mansion on 6 September (12), with the politician's wife Ann Romney as the event's special guest.
Tickets to the bash start at $2,500 (£1,563).
