It's spring, so love is in the air

The month of April welcomes the spring season, and with spring comes the season of love.

Stars have been saying their "I Do's" during their secretly planned weddings.

Among the most recent weddings: Brooke Shields married television writer Chris Henchy on Tuesday. Last week, Drew Barrymore and comedian Tom Green surprised everyone by announcing that they had tied the knot.

Shields, star of the cancelled NBC series Suddenly Susan, wed Henchy at a Catalina Island off the Southern California Coast.

The actress, who annulled her wedding to tennis player Andre Agassi in 1999, married her new beau after a two-year courtship.

Barrymore spoke Tuesday night at the Blockbuster Movie Awards about tying the knot to MTV personality Green.

"We did," Barrymore said during the awards show. "The Angels and the Chad. We were all there."

Barrymore and Green wed in a ceremony held at the end of March, ending press speculation about when a wedding would occur.

"I was there for craft services," said actress Lucy Liu, who attended the wedding with fellow Angels costar Cameron Diaz.

Barrymore and Green had been living together in her Los Angeles home, which was totaled after a fire in February. Luckily, Barrymore's dog Flossie saved the couple during their sleep.

While hosting Saturday Night Live in November, Green even promised to marry Barrymore during the show. It never happened.

Dr. T & the Women costars Liv Tyler and Tara Reid are now sporting engagement rings on their hands and are planning for their big days.

Tyler, 23, is engaged to her rock 'n' roll beau Royston Langdon, lead singer and bass player for the group Spacehog. She accepted a Valentine's Day proposal after dating for more than two years.

Tyler met the rocker in 1998 after ending her relationship with Joaquin Phoenix, her costar in Inventing The Abbotts.

MTV's Carson Daly, of Total Request Live and Josie and the Pussycat star Reid, who met last year in Cancun while hosting a show together, have changed their wedding plans.

After sending hundreds of invitations for their May wedding, the couple decided last week to postpone their nuptials until Reid finishes filming her upcoming feature films. She is currently filming American Pie 2 and David Zucker's The Guest, scheduled for release in 2001 and 2002 release, respectively.
