Strike or no strike, Miramax is a busy company, acquiring the rights to New York Times culture writer Alex Witchel's upcoming novel, Me Times Three, a romantic comedy with Gwyneth Paltrow on board to star and produce. Touted as an American Bridget Jones's Diary, the heroine of the story is an assistant editor at a women's magazine during the 1980s. Suddenly, her job becomes the most important thing in her life.
