Kiefer Sutherland will star as French post-impressionist painter Paul Gauguin in a Le Studio Canal Plus' biopic. Nastassja Kinski will costar as his wife, Mette. The film, tentatively titled Paradise Found, will begin filming in May. The story follows the legendary artist in the early 20th century - from his comfortable life as a stockbroker, which he abandons, to his life as a painter, especially after his first trip to the South Pacific, where he spent much of his life. Comic-actor Billy Connolly will costar as French painter Camille Pissaro, Gauguin's mentor.
