Now happily married to moviemaker Alejandro Monteverde, the pretty former Miss USA has rarely spoken about her decision to annul her union with Lopez just weeks after they wed, but in a candid interview on news show Access Hollywood Live on Thursday (06Sep12), she addressed reports infidelity was at the centre of her decision to call off the marriage.
She explained, "It turned out to be a bad situation... We were together for six years but as soon as everything... I found out numerous things and the floodgates were open and the water just came rushing through... I got proof of everything.
"I started talking to a lot of people (and) I found out a lot of stuff. It was terrible."
Asked if there was "a little roaming" going on, she responded, "A little? (It was) a lot... but that's OK. It prepared me for my husband."
And Landry admits the break-up was "a very big deal" for her - but she's glad it happened: "It wasn't just like, 'Oh yeah, get married, get divorced...' The sacrament of marriage for me is very, very important... I never knew anyone that did that to someone else... I was blindsided.
"I feel like today, I am a better person because of it and I really look back and think that was the best thing that has ever happened to me; it changed me as a woman."
Lopez is now engaged to Courtney Mazza, the mother of his daughter, Gia.
