North Lanarkshire Council officials in Scotland want to shut Abronhill High School, which provided the backdrop for the 1981 romantic comedy starring John Gordon Sinclair, next summer (13) as part of cost-cutting plans.
Parents have been informed of plans to relocate students to nearby Cumbernauld High. Councillors will vote on the proposal to close the school later this year (12).
