Downey spared drug charges

Dodging yet another legal bullet, actor Robert Downey Jr. will not face criminal charges following last month's drug arrest--in which police said he was found to have cocaine in his system--according to Reuters. Prosecutors in the case decided to place Downey in the care of California state corrections officials, who will likely send the Golden Globe-winning actor to a drug rehabilitation facility. Said Downey attorney Robert Walters: "We are grateful that the district attorney's office has declined to prosecute Mr. Downey."
