The actor's wife Erin is pregnant with the couple's second child and she is due to give birth next May (13).
The 48 year old tells People.com, "I feel blessed; having a family is something that I've always wanted. Having a second child is the realisation of a dream come true."
The couple is already parents to one-year-old daughter Mia Lauren, and Ziering reveals his little girl is excited to be a big sister.
He adds, "We tell her 'baby' and point to Erin's belly. Now she points to Erin's belly and says, 'Baby.'"
The pair wed in 2010.
