The Terminator 2 star was at Los Angeles International Airport with the unnamed woman in the early hours of the morning when he allegedly grabbed her during an argument.
When police arrived, the woman reportedly had visible marks on her arm from the altercation and Furlong was arrested, according to TMZ.com.
Furlong's bail has been set at $50,000 (£31,100). He was still in custody as WENN went to press.
