The Boogie Nights actor is reteaming with his Pain and Gain director Michael Bay for the fourth installment of the action franchise, which has previously starred Shia LaBeouf - and the moviemaker is thrilled his pal is onboard.
Bay says, "Mark is awesome. We had a blast working on Pain and Gain and I'm so fired up to be back working with him. An actor of his calibre is the perfect guy to re-invigorate the franchise and carry on the Transformers' legacy."
Transformers 4 is set for release in 2014.
