The actress, who appeared on General Hospital, is said to have lashed out last weekend (24-25Nov12) while boarding an outbound plane at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport.
Ashenafi was furious about having to sit in economy class and was removed from the flight after allegedly shoving a steward, reports TMZ.com.
Cops met the 46 year old on the jet bridge and booked her for public intoxication, reports TMZ.com.
According to the police report, officers smelled alcohol on Ashenafi's breath.
