Problem for Jason Alexander's sitcom

Jun 04, 2001 | 3:22pm EDT

Tim Doyle, the writer and executive producer for Jason Alexander's ABC sitcom Bob Patterson, is leaving the project because of creative differences with the actor, according to Variety. Doyle wrote the pilot script along with Peter Tilden and Ira Behr. Alexander serves as the show's executive producer in addition to playing the title character, a motivational speaker. Last year Michael Richards' The Michael Richards Show also ran into problems when one of the executive producers left a month before NBC pulled the plug on the short-lived sitcom.
