Wes Craven to remake "Harry"

According to Variety, director Wes Craven is in talks with Miramax Films to helm the English-language remake of the French film With a Friend Like Harry. The original version, directed by Dominik Moll, premiered at the Cannes International Film Festival last year. The film follows a husband and wife on vacation with their three children. They run into Harry, a former schoolmate turned psychotic who eventually exposes his murderous side. Craven is best known for his horror-genre flicks, including A Nightmare on Elm Street and Scream. A writer has yet to be attached to the project.
