Nicolas Cage (Leaving Las Vegas, Con Air, Face/Off) will be feted at one of Hollywood social calendar's biggest dates. The American Cinematheque's annual gala on Sept. 22 is set to name Cage as the honoree, Variety reports. Samuel L. Jackson, who costarred with Cage in 1995's Kiss of Death, will host the event. It will air Oct. 10 on cable station TNT. Proceeds from the benefit go to the nonprofit American Cinematheque for its film programs and for its operation of the famed Egyptian Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard. The gala will take place this year at the Beverly Hilton, and tickets start at $500.
