MGM combines marketing, distribution

MGM will merge its marketing and distribution roles into one, with an appointment expected within the next day or two. Marketing chief Gerry Rich and his distribution counterpart Larry Gleason, the only executives remaining on the regime of former MGM chief Frank Mancuso, will depart MGM, Reuters reports. Rich was a Miramax marketing and Gleason was a colleague of the former MGM boss when both were hired to Mancuso's team. Marcuso left in April 1999.
