Visnjic to remain on "ER" duty

Jun 26, 2001 | 8:20am EDT

Goran Visnjic, who replaced George Clooney on the medical series ER, has inked a four-year deal that will run through the end of the show's 11th season, Reuters reports. The length of Visnjic's contract may indicate that Wells and Warner Bros. will try to persuade NBC to add one more year to its current deal. Last year, the medical drama was extended until May 2004, with NBC agreeing to pay between $8 and $9 million per episode, starting this fall. In other cast news, Noah Wyle and Sherry Springfield have returned to the show, and are booked to stay through the end of the 10th season.
