Phillips, who founded the syndicated Dear Abby advice column, passed away on Wednesday (16Jan13) after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s disease, according to TMZ.com.
Her daughter Jeanne, who took over the Dear Abby column, says, “I have lost my mother, my mentor and my best friend.”
