Earlier this month (Jan13) the actor forgot to lock the elevator door to his New York City penthouse apartment and found two drunk guys in his home in the middle of the night.
Admitting it was one of the scariest moments of his life, he tells U.S. TV host Jay Leno, "I just moved into this apartment (and) one of the cool features (is) it has an elevator that opens out into the apartment... But I often forget to lock the elevator, so anybody that pushes the button of my floor can come right up to my apartment. It sucks.
"I went to bed and I woke up and I heard two loud voices... and then all of the sudden I saw a light turn on, and I'm like, 'Oh my God, somebody's in my place'. So I was like, 'I gotta man up here, I gotta face these guys'. So I get up, I'm naked, because I like to sleep naked sometimes... (and) I walk out there... and I see the two guys in the bedroom across the hall and I thought that I said something like, 'Which one of you guys want to die tonight?' But I think that I said something like, 'Hey, I think you guys are in the wrong apartment'.
"And the guy looks down... and he goes, 'Why are you naked, man...?' I go, 'Why am I naked? It's my apartment! Why are you here?' And he goes, 'Oh we're just drunk, we're at the party two floors above you and we pushed the wrong button.' I'm like. 'Well, maybe you should go'.
"And then the really awkward part came when we were waiting for the elevator, because I wanted to make sure the guys were leaving, and it took a really long time for the elevator to come up... And the guy goes, 'Hey man, were you in that movie Bulletproof Monk?' which I was kind of psyched about, because nobody references that movie. And I was like, 'Yeah, man'. He goes, 'Why did you do that movie? It was terrible.' Then he got in the elevator... It was scary... But I lived."
