The TV and radio presenter consulted a doctor shortly before Christmas (12) after discovering a lump and was told he would need surgery and chemotherapy.
Kyle has now opened up about his health crisis, telling Britain's The Sun, "It's been a horrific time - a very sobering experience - but now I just feel lucky to be alive. I feel lucky that I'm here for my family and can see my kids grow up."
The star, who has been given the all-clear following the operation, returned to work on Wednesday (06Feb13) and admits he was overwhelmed with emotion when he stepped back into the TV studio, "When I walked out and heard the applause I had tears in my eyes. But it's the right thing to do to help me get back to normal."
