Actor Jim Carrey has taken to Twitter.com to speak of his shock following a stabbing spree at a Texas college on Tuesday (09Apr13). Fourteen people were left wounded after a man went on a rampage across the Lone Star Community College System's campus in Cypress. Of the 14 injured, four had to be airlifted to hospital and two remain in a critical condition. Police have confirmed Lone Star student Dylan Quick, 20, has been arrested and charged with three counts of aggravated assault. Carrey has taken to his Twitter.com page to address the horror, writing, "I wish all the students in Texas a full physical and emotional recovery. I'm glad the attacker was not more heavily armed." The Dumb & Dumber star has recently been embroiled in a dispute with conservative critics since releasing a satirical skit warning of the dangers of firearm ownership. Actor Gilles Marini shared a link to the Texas news story with followers and tweeted, "Guns or no guns or knife or whatever! We simply need to stop be (being) violent and evil between one and another (sic)! Enough," while U.S. TV host Carson Daly added, "Praying for the 4 (for) Lone Star students who needed life flights off their campus after the horrible stabbings in Texas. 14 hurt. Suspect caught."
