Robert Downey, Jr. was given a birthday present to remember during a trip to China as he was handed an enormous card boasting a record-breaking number of signatures. The actor turned 48 on 4 April (13) and subsequently jetted to Beijing, China to promote his new movie Iron Man 3 at the Forbidden City, an imperial palace, over the weekend (06-07Apr13). The Chinese hosts ensured Downey, Jr. was given a special treat by asking more than 5,000 fans to sign a huge card, which has broken the Guinness World Record for the most signatures on a single birthday card. After being presented with his card, Downey, Jr. told devotees, "I collect modern arts and I consider this the most recent addition to my collection. Thank you China for this amazing display of the culture and thank you for making me feel so welcome. This is unforgettable."
