R&B beauty Ciara has opened up for the first time about her budding romance with rapper Future, insisting she can imagine starting a family with the rising star. The Goodies hitmaker, who previously dated Bow Wow and was subsequently linked to 50 Cent, has always tried to keep her personal life under wraps but the singer admits she has since realised she no longer has to hide what makes her happy just to avoid becoming tabloid fodder. She tells Philadelphia, Pennsylvania radio station Power 99, "It's just a whole new thing that's happened within myself internally that's kinda inspired me to do things differently. "I've been able to learn a lot over the past years of my life. I've tried things many different ways. I'm now in a place in my life where I'm so much more comfortable than I've ever been in my skin. I've learned that you gotta live your life for you. People are gonna have something to say no matter which way you do it." Ciara, 27, reveals the relationship is serious - and she would love to have children with him if and when the time is right. She adds, "I'm happy. I'm with somebody that makes me feel very comfortable in this setting. He's my best friend, so we talk about a lot of stuff. At the right time, I'm looking forward to (having a family)." If the couple does end up having kids together, they won't be Future's first - he recently agreed to pay child support to ex-girlfriend Jessica Smith after she proved he had fathered her 10-year-old son, and in February (13), he was hit with a second paternity lawsuit by a Georgia woman who claimed she had given birth to his boy in December (12).
