British singer-turned-actress Kym Marsh has offered her full support to her Coronation Street co-star Michael Le Vell as he prepares to battle child sex charges. The actor, who has played mechanic Kevin Webster in the beloved British soap opera for 30 years, is facing 19 charges relating to alleged offences between 2001 and 2010 and is set to stand trial in September (13). Le Vell has been removed from Coronation Street as his fights the allegations, and his co-star Marsh, also known by her married name of Kym Lomas, has now publicly offered her backing to her pal. During a radio interview in Ireland, she declared, "Michael has the full support of the cast, we're very much behind him and we're looking forward to having him back at work. "We're a team and we're a team no matter what and obviously when things happen, no matter who it happens to, we're always there to back each other up. "It sounds really cliched but we are like a family. You have to be there for each other. You do have to take good care of each other." Le Vell has denied the charges and vowed to clear his name.
