A U.S. judge has awarded Flavor Flav a new court date for his arraignment so the rapper can attend his group Public Enemy's induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The hip-hop icon's trial date, over allegations he threatened his girlfriend's 17-year-old son with a butcher's knife during a family argument in October (12), was set for the same day as the gala in Los Angeles, and his attorney vowed to fight for a schedule change. Now a judge has agreed to postpone the court showdown until 7 May (13). If convicted, the rapper, real name William Drayton, Jr., could be sentenced to up to 12 years behind bars on charges of assault with a weapon, domestic battery and child endangerment.
