Yoko Ono is to launch the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus in Europe next month (May13). The Beatles legend's widow created the original bus - a state-of-the-art recording studio on wheels - in the U.S. in 1998, and it makes a regular tour of schools and universities in the States to encourage youngsters to get involved in music. Ono is now planning to launch a second vehicle in Lennon's hometown of Liverpool, England next month and it will head out on a trip around Europe before returning to London where it will remain as a feature of Ono's upcoming Meltdown Festival in June (13). Ono says, "The educational bus is a huge success in the USA. But John would have been extra thrilled that it is now launching in Europe, starting in Liverpool, his home town. I'm so thrilled that the Educational Tour Bus will be situated at Meltdown. All kids who are interested in making music and learning how to use instruments in the recording studio should come and make use of this freebie."
