Cinema bosses in China have been given permission to show Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained three weeks after the movie was pulled from release. The slavery western will now hit screens on 12 May (13), when it will become the first Tarantino movie to be released in China. Django Unchained was scheduled to launch on 11 April (13), but the movie was pulled from cinemas after Chinese censors demanded a minute's worth of cuts. It is not clear what those cuts were, but studio executives at Sony agreed to re-edit the movie to appease censors, who are now happy with the final edit.
