Broadway producer Roy Miller dies at 52

Broadway producer Roy Miller has died at the age of 52. The Tony-nominated veteran passed away on Sunday (28Apr13) following a short illness.
Miller began his career in his native New Jersey and established himself after working as the associate producer of the Paper Mill Playhouse, where he staged productions including the Emmy Award-nominated Crazy For You, Follies, Children of Eden and Rob Marshall’s Chess.
He also found success on Broadway, working on High Fidelity in 2006, 2009 shows Ragtime and West Side Story, 2010’s The Pee-Wee Herman Show and 2012 holiday hit A Christmas Story.
Singer/actress Kristin Chenoweth acknowledged the producer’s death on Twitter.com on Monday (29Apr13), simply writing, “RIP Roy Miller”.
