British jazz star Soweto Kinch has appealed for the return of his beloved saxophone after the instrument was stolen from his car. The award-winning musician, who worked with late singer Amy Winehouse, was devastated when thieves broke into his vehicle and snatched the sax while he watching a play in London last week (24Apr13). Kinch insists the one-off instrument has immense sentimental value because he spent months busking on the streets to make enough money to buy it. He tells the Birmingham Mail newspaper, "The value of that saxophone to me is immeasurable. It was my first serious saxophone and it's the only saxophone I've played for the past 15 years... It's like part of my anatomy being ripped out... Imagine someone taking away your ability to do your job. It's part of me. I just want the saxophone back." Kinch has launched a massive campaign on Twitter.com in a bid to find the missing instrument and has even been checking London pawn shops in a bid to recover it.
