Tom Hanks enjoyed a double celebration this week (beg29Apr13) as his Tony Award nomination was announced on the day of his 25th wedding anniversary. The actor marked the milestone with his wife Rita Wilson on Tuesday (30Apr13), and the couple's festivities were made extra special when he received a nod for his turn in Nora Ephron's play Lucky Guy. Wilson reveals her husband was stunned by the nomination and its happy timing. She tells USAToday.com, "It was really very exciting. He got the nomination, which was really a surprise to him, on our 35th wedding anniversary so we were just like 'Ahhhhh!' It was kind of nice to tie those two happy events together in one day." Hanks will go head-to-head with some of Broadway's finest, including Nathan Lane and David Hyde Pierce, for the title of Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Play when the Tony Awards are handed out in New York City on 9 June (13).
