Mia Farrow and Gabrielle Union are among the stars who have saluted the Ohio man who helped rescue an abducted woman on Monday (06May13). Charles Ramsey leaped into action to help free Amanda Berry after hearing her screaming in his neighbour's home in Cleveland, where she and two other women are believed to have been held captive for several years. The restaurant dishwasher has since been hailed a national hero, and a host of famous faces have taken to Twitter.com to praise his bravery, with Sex and the City: The Movie actor Gilles Marini writing, "Thanks 4 (sic) helping those girls Charles Ramsey, and on another note I hope those kidnappers will never see the light of day again! Lock 'em up." Farrow branded him a "new hero" while Union pointed out Ramsey's star power after watching him on TV, writing, "Anyone else watching Anderson Cooper interview Charles Ramsey? I smell reality show!" and funnyman Patton Oswalt adds, "Dear Charles Ramsey: I am not a little pretty white girl, but I totally want to run into your black arms. Hero." Bosses at fast food chain McDonald's have also added reached out to Ramsey after he revealed he abandoned his hamburger to save Berry. A post on the McDonald's Twitter page states, "We salute the courage of Ohio kidnap victims & respect their privacy. Way to go Charles Ramsey - we'll be in touch." Three brothers have been arrested as suspects in the hostage case.
