Tiesto cancels Mexico tour

Top DJ Tiesto has cancelled his upcoming Mexican tour due to production difficulties. The Dutch star was due to embark on a string of dates across the country, commencing at Leon's Poliforum on Wednesday (08May13), but has decided to axe all scheduled concerts after encountering difficulties with the show's production. A statement on the DJ's official Facebook.com page reads, "We regret to announce that Tiesto's tour of Mexico has been cancelled. Each Tiesto show is planned with the highest level of production in order to make it an unforgettable experience for the fans. However, when it became clear that these high standards could not be met we had no other alternative than to cancel the tour." A note from Tiesto adds, "I can't say enough about my great fans in Mexico and how much I was looking forward to playing in your great country. I appreciate the continued support from my Mexican fans and look forward to returning to Mexico as soon as possible." The DJ, real name Tijs Michiel Verwest, was due to perform 10 dates across Mexico, ending on 17 May (13).
