Reese Witherspoon's stepmother has taken aim at the actress following her recent disorderly conduct arrest, urging her to get professional help for "a serious drinking problem". Tricianne Taylor, who wed the Legally Blonde star's dad John last year (12), has gone public with her concerns in the pages of the National Enquirer, insisting the damning police arrest video from Witherspoon's regretful night in Atlanta, Georgia last month (Apr13) is proof her stepdaughter has issues. The actress refused to stay in her car when police officers pulled the vehicle over to question the driver, Witherspoon's husband Jim Toth. She then challenged one of the officers as he performed field sobriety tests to determine if Toth, who was charged with a DUI, had been drinking. Witherspoon has since apologised for her embarrassing public outburst, but the stepmother she has never met is convinced she needs help. Taylor tells the National Enquirer that the actress is "not the sweet, innocent girl next door that her fans think she is," and adds, "Based on Reese's behaviour in those police videos following her recent arrest, I believe she has a serious drinking problem and needs to get professional help."
