South Korean sensation Psy paid a visit to America's prestigious Harvard University on Thursday (09May13) to give a talk about his journey to becoming a pop culture phenomenon. The rapper spoke at length to Ivy League students in Cambridge, Massachusetts, about finding fame around the world with his single Gangnam Style, which has become the most-viewed video in the history of YouTube.com. The 35 year old, real name Park Jae-sang, told the crowd of 1,000 he was taken aback by his sudden popularity, but put his fame down to the unifying power of music. He said, "Music makes everyone united. Something beyond language. I'm so proud (at my performances). The crowd doesn't know what the lyrics are about, but they look so happy!" Psy studied at nearby Boston University in the 1990s but admitted he wasn't the most academic student because he spent his time fantasising about being onstage. He explained, "I dreamed someday, some Korean artist would be well-known in the U.S. I dreamed about it but didn't dream that was me, because as you see I have a very special body type."
