British socialite Peaches Geldof had no plans to give birth to her son on her late mother's birthday and has put the coincidence down to "crazy synchronicity". Bob Geldof's daughter and her rocker husband Thomas Cohen welcomed Phaedra on 24 April (13), but the 24 year old insists she was stunned when she was told by a medical consultant that her son would be born via Caesarean section on what would have been her mother Paula Yates' 54th birthday. She tells Britain's Hello! magazine, "(Choosing the date) wasn't an option. Maybe it is if you go private, but we didn't and were given the date randomly by a consultant. "I was pretty amazed when I read it though, and had to smile. I couldn't help feeling Mum must have had a hand in it... There's this kind of crazy synchronicity to it." It is a second son for the couple, who welcomed Astala 13 months ago. The tot was due to share a birthday with Yates, who died of a heroin overdose in 2000, but he was born early.
