Actor Ian Somerhalder has fallen victim to the ongoing baggage handlers' strike at Belgium's Brussels Airport after his luggage failed to make it back to his native U.S. The Vampire Diaries hunk spent the weekend (11-12May13) in Europe following the news of his split from his girlfriend and TV co-star Nina Dobrev, but when he returned to America on Monday (13May13), his suitcases were nowhere to be seen. Taking to his Twitter.com blog to vent his frustration, he writes, "MY BAGS ARE STUCK IN BRUSSELS-THERE IS A STRIKE-THEY ARE KEEPING MY LUGGAGE!!PLEASE STOP STRIKING!!! GIVE ME MY BAGS BACK!" Airport staff for Swissport Handling walked out on Sunday (12May13) in a dispute about pressure in the workplace. The fall-out has caused huge delays and cancellations at Brussels Airport as almost half of all flights serviced by Swissport are impacted by the strike.
