Shia Labeouf gave fans a glimpse of his darker side earlier this week (begs13May13) with the release of his latest directorial project, which depicts themes of violent murder, childbirth and infanticide. The Transformers star cast his rumoured girlfriend Mia Goth in the video for Haunted Love, the latest track from pop duo Future Unlimited. In the gory film, Goth watches as the band's star David Miller eats a poisoned meal and dies while other scenes include flashbacks of the actress giving birth in a bathtub filled with bloody water and the baby later burning on a fire. LaBeouf has explained that the promo was inspired by dancer Deena Thompsen and the music video director Alma Har'el, both of whom he worked with on the explicit Sigur Ros music video in which the actor appeared naked. He tells the New York Times, "Working with them re-introduced me to dance as an emotive art form -- last dance I (played around) with was the Tootsie Roll. The experience both in being around them and keeping in touch creatively inspired me to start writing a treatment, which quickly became a monologue of a scorned woman."
