British actor Dev Patel is heading back to India on the big screen for a third time after signing up to play famed mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan. Patel shot to international fame playing a poor teen contestant who wins India's Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? in 2008's Slumdog Millionaire, which won critical acclaim and took home eight Oscars including the award for best picture. He returned to India in 2012's The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel alongside Dame Judi Dench and Bill Nighy, and now he is heading back to the country again to shoot the story of Ramanujan, a maths genius who was chosen to study at England's Cambridge University at the beginning of the 20th Century. Producer Edward R. Pressman says, "We're excited to have Dev on board to bring Ramanujan to the screen." Shooting will start in India and the U.K. in the autumn (13).
