Rapper Murs and his wife are preparing to welcome their second child by adoption next month (Jun13). The hip-hop veteran, real name Nick Carter, became a first-time dad last October (12) when he and his spouse Kate adopted their baby son Bishop from North Carolina, and they are now set to expand their family with the addition of a 15-year-old, called Eddie. Murs, who is signed to embattled rap mogul Damon Dash's new label DD172, reveals he and his partner were inspired by Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt and Jane Fonda's mixed families as they decided to give a home to children in need, and they hope their journey to parenthood will encourage others to adopt too. He tells HipHopDX.com, "We adopted because we wanted to help change someone's life. We both know kids in the foster system and it's not the best place for a child to be raised. "I hope I inspire more people to adopt. Hopefully, some of my peers will get involved. Shout out to Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt 'cause they were definitely inspirations for me. Jane Fonda adopted a black girl (Lulu) when (she) was 16 or 17. There are a lot of people, but I want more of the hip-hop generation... (to know that) you can change someone's life as parents. "I hope I can encourage a few people to do the same... that's why I talk about it. It's beautiful. It's wonderful."
