The Dave Matthews Band postponed a show in Texas this week (beg20May13) after a frightening storm hit the state. The musicians were due to perform in Austin on Tuesday night (21May13), but officials warned them to axe the gig as heavy rain and wind descended on the area just a day after a massive tornado destroyed a town in neighbouring Oklahoma. The concert at the city's Austin360 Amphitheater was pushed back until Wednesday (22May13) due to "weather conditions... affecting the Central Texas region". The gig on Wednesday night went ahead as scheduled. The news comes just days after the group made a $100,000 (£64,500) donation to a fund to help those affected by the fertiliser plant explosion in West, Texas last month (Apr13). The blast killed 14 people and devastated numerous homes and buildings in the small town.
