British rapper Professor Green has cancelled a performance on Saturday night (25May13) as he recovers from injuries sustained in a traffic accident in England on Friday (24May13). The musician, real name Stephen Manderson, was preparing to set off for his gig at Hartpury College in Gloucestershire when he was struck by two cars. He was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital after receiving treatment on the roadside, and subsequently told fans he could require an operation. In a series of posts on his Twitter.com page, he writes, "Won't know until tomorrow if it's surgery or not, so f**king depressed. No jokes left in me this could hinder and ruin so so much. If I'd have fallen when the car hit me I'd be dead... Would have been my head in between the cars." As a result, he has now axed his planned set at England's University of Roehampton on Saturday night. The rapper adds, "Massive apologies to Hartpury and Roehampton... f**king fuming I'm stuck in a s**tty hospital instead of performing the new s**t (material)!" Professor Green also told followers he is convinced he is jinxed because the accident comes almost four years to the day since he was stabbed in the neck in a London nightclub. He writes, "Nearly 4 yrs (years) to the day I got stabbed and again a full moon, something about this time of year that brings me badness. My star sign, and it was a supermoon. I'm telling you it's not a great time for me - next time I'm wrapping myself in cotton wool and staying at home."
